Details here. Simple one for you Thai travellers I want to go to Ko Kood and love train travel. Could fly, but bugger that See Thai rail network map here Sorry, no trains to Trat. Buses leave Ekamai eastern terminal on Sukhumvit Rd. BTS station Ekamai. They are all right. I did this trip last year and took the PM bus from the Ekamai bus station to Trat. It took about 6 hours. Take the earliest bus possible if you want to get to Ko Chang the same day. We ended up staying the night in Trat because we missed the last ferry.

You can make the last ferry if you leave Ekamai by pm but that is close. Getting to Trat at about 6 to pm and the last boat is about 7pm or pm. It is not bad staying in Trat. Nice restaurants and guest houses and a cheap songtaaw pick up and ride to the docks. Huge difference compared to places like Phuket. You can get a bus to the port at Laem Ngop at around 8 am. There are only 2 direct busses in the morning, then the rest of the day they go to the Trat bus station which is outside of town.

No problem because they have plenty of cheap songtaaws to the port. Ekamai station is right next to the BTS station so is much easier than the Northern which is not that convenient to get to. I have a fair bit of info, pix etc on Kut in the first link below including access info from Bangkok. When are you planning this trip? Currently the region is having the worst storms for many years and wave heights are over 3 meters so no chance to get there. From now till mid september get get pretty rough and boats often dont sail for days. Heard many stories of travellers been stuck on the islands when they should be on a flight home.

Might want to update you article as you mention it quite a few times and it's no more This topic has been locked by a moderator. All rights reserved.
